James Reddoch oral history interview, 1992-1993.

Reddoch discusses his family; his work on the family's farm in Jones County, Mississippi; his early schooling; his service as an Air Force mechanic and supervising prisoners of war in Germany after World War II; his attendance and teaching at Mississippi State University; and his teaching at LSU while simultaneously pursuing a Ph. D. He also discusses the following developments at LSU: his duties as assistant to President Troy Middleton, Middleton's administration, the establishment of LSU-New Orleans, Middleton's handling of the anti-segregation case of Dr. Waldo McNeir, his work as dean (later vice chancellor) for student affairs, racial integration, policies regarding students, the development of sorority houses on campus, the 1972 riot at Southern University, student protests, and the Vietnam War's effect on enrollment and protests.
